KUALA LUMPUR (Politics Now!) - The anti-Islam, anti-Palestine and anti-Iran hysteria has hit a new high in the U.S. and the West, with the U.K. now unbelievably ordering its police to arrest anyone who waves the Palestinian flag.
The heavy-handedness of the response from the U.S. and its chief lieutenant, the U.K., is extreme even by their worst geopolitical standards that are often tied to hypocrisy, self-interest, regional manipulation and general scheming.
This has intensified conspiracy theories that warn there is more than meets the eye. The Middle East, or as the Arabian part of West Asia is known, is once again the playground for top U.S. politicians including President Joe Biden, who desperately needs to lift his chances of re-election next year.
Just as in the U.S. proxy war in Ukraine against Russia, the world will find out soon enough whose hand is behind the latest Israel-Palestine conflict. It is inevitable and this is perhaps the most dangerous of all crises as it comes at a time when the world is at its most vulnerable - still gingerly stepping out from 3 years of Covid-19 trauma, then slammed by 2 years of skyrocketing oil and food prices, so what's next - perhaps prolonged hot war in the world's richest oil fields - may be the killer blow!
WIPE OUT THE 'SAVAGES' - FIRE 'DOOMSDAY MISSILES WITHOUT LIMIT'
Tuesday's high-profile 'one-sidedness' by the British government comes despite Israel warning it might use "doomsday weapons" such as the Jericho Missile to flatten the Gaza "without mercy". This comes hot on the heels on Israeli leaders calling the Palestinians "savages" after Saturday's shock incursion.
“Only an explosion that shakes the Middle East will restore this country’s dignity, strength and security!” Revital Gotliv, a lawmaker in Israel's Knesset and a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's party, posted on X.
“It’s time to kiss doomsday. Shooting powerful missiles without limit. Not flattening a neighborhood. Otherwise we did nothing. Not with slogans, with penetrating bombs. Without mercy!”

The dangerous and supremacist propaganda of the West, its leaders and news outlets positing that not all human beings are human - only some are entitled to be treated as homo sapiens - appear aimed to influence as many parts of the world as possible that they are right and the 'savages' wrong.
Yet around the world, there seems to be more citizens of planet Earth who sympathize with the Palestinians and their plight. Israel, perhaps because it is perceived to be too weak to stand on its own and hence needs to be a tool of the U.S. and the West, has long been disliked for aping the bullying and 'superior' ways of Washington, although the generally advanced intellect of the Israeli people is quite widely respected.
Even in London, a large crowd of people rallied outside the Israeli embassy in Kensington, chanting “Free Palestine!” and “Israel is a terrorist state!” Three people were arrested at that protest as Prime Minister Rishi Sunak vowed that anyone supporting Hamas, the group that governs the Palestinians, would be “held to account,” calling it a “proscribed terrorist organization” in the UK..
British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has urged supporters of Palestine to stay home, saying that their demonstrations cause “distress” in what he described as “a difficult, delicate situation.”

Yet how 'new' is this? How many governments in the world will dare to speak their mind, risk sanctions and retaliation by the mighty U.S. and the West. Even Muslim nations such as Malaysia are guarded in their response.
At least the Arab media, most of whom have erstwhile been slavishly following the tone of the likes of CNN, Bloomberg and Reuters, are now revolting - citing the Western response to the Russia-Ukraine conflict as an example of the fork-tongued, two-faced nature of the U.S. its allies and their twisted-to-the-core media.
"The global response to Ukrainian and Palestinian resistance movements reveals a disturbing hypocrisy woven into the fabric of international relations," Sakher 'Moh'd Nour' Al Shriedeh, wrote in an opinion piece in The Jordan Times.

Aljazeera also questioned world leaders for their responses to the crisis, publishing the comments of social media users.
"Ukraine's right to defend itself is praised by most international leaders while Russia's invasion is condemned, but commentators said the same cannot be said about Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza," said the Aljazeera report..
The article also quoted Aaron Bastani, a leftist British journalist, who said on X, formerly Twitter, that there's a "clear double standard in endorsing terrorism against civilian targets in Ukraine … and condemning it by Palestinians"
Social media users worldwide also questioned Western diplomats and their press for supporting Ukrainians who defend their land as heroes, but labelling the Palestinians fighting against Israel as "terrorists". - Written by Wong Choon Mei, Politics Now!
