BOMBSHELL - DELIRIOUS OR NOT, ANWAR BITES OFF MORE THAN HE CAN CHEW - CAN HE EVEN DISMOUNT THE PAS TIGER - OR DOESN'T HE REALIZE IT'S HADI AND NOT HIM WHO IS THE MOST POWERFUL MAN IN 'TANAH MELAYU'

KUALA LUMPUR (Politics Now!)
- PAS to agree to join Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's unity government? And work side by side with most-hated infidel party DAP? Why not!

After all, the invite came from Anwar, which gives PAS chief Hadi Awang the boasting rights to proclaim ...err, well... political beggars like Anwar, PM though he may be, cannot be choosers! And that's true, Hadi is the most powerful man in Malay land 'Tanah Melayu' - Anwar and DAP needs him and PAS more than he and PAS needs them.

PAPER TIGER VS REAL TIGERS

Some pundits see the move by the weakening Anwar, who startled the country when he said he was open to PAS joining his unity government, as a red herring.

"It's like opening the opening to your most feared enemy who is much more powerful than you to come in and rob your house and sleep in the master bedroom while you have to shift down to the servants' quarters," a political pundit told Politics Now!

"It's the proverbial tiger for Anwar to mount PAS - the burning question is can he dismount later and not get mauled and torn to shreds by Sanusi and Samsuri."

Indeed, Anwar is no Sanusi Md Nor, the PAS chief minister of Kedah, and neither can he come close to Terengganu chief minister Samsuri Mokhtar.

These two are the next tier of Malay leaders who will take over the country's leadership - and this is inevitable unless stopped by calamity or an event of unimaginable magnitude such as the breakup of the country into several regions.

"The rise of PAS, Sanusi and Samsuri will be faster if Hadi agrees to join unity government," said the pundit, also referring to SG$, the four state governments controlled by PAS, namely Kelantan, Kedah, Perlis and Terengganu.

"If SG4 stands on their own, their ascent will be slower but it will still happen. They are unstoppable. This is the result of the past 3 decades of ultra pro-Malay policy implementation and social engineering that has created new generations of Malays who put religion first and foremost. Their education did not focus on science, math or English but on religion."

THEY ARE ALL SNAKES - ONCE IN POWER, THEY CARE ONLY ABOUT KEEPING POWER

Has Kit Siang become the proverbial 'there's no fool like an old fool'?

Perhaps, Malaysians well remember that these are all politicians and all politicians are snakes. There are no exceptions, zero!

Even the most naive of Pakatan Harapan diehard supporters will now agree - after watching how, led by Anwar, the whole bunch of them misbehave, parade themselves like constipated Little Napoleons and Ghazali Shafie-wannabes (yes, the sinister Umno leader who has often been accused of unfairly wielding tremendous power behind the scenes when he was Home Minister during the 1970s).

WHO SAYS NO OUTRAGE? NON-MALAYS ARE JUST BIDING THEIR TIME

Why then is there no outrage from the Chinese about Anwar’s invite to PAS? Because "the Chinese are happy as long as Anwar is PM and DAP is in power. They won’t care if PAS is in the government,” surmised a report in the The Star.

Really? Of course not! But the Chinese are a pragmatic lot. Just as they were patient and give the MCA decades to hang itself, they are now watching with one eye Anwar and DAP's manipulations to cling onto power.

When it gets too sickening to stomach, that's when they'll jettison Anwar and DAP and Anthony Loke had better take note.

Don't take the Chinese vote for granted - even DAP is not safe from the wrath of Malaysian Chinese! So what more Anwar whom the majority of non-Malays know is basically a 'tin kosong' or empty vessel leader without a real or clear vision of his own - and worst of all, without the power of true grassroots support (unlike PAS) to change things in the country.

LACKS THE OOMPH MALAYS WANT IN THEIR HEROES

At 76, Anwar is seen as too old to be a match for the robust PAS duo. But age aside, Anwar lacks oomph with the Malays, the largest and most powerful electorate. Young or old, Malays tend to mock Anwar and snigger at him behind his back and this can be attributed to his sodomy-linked scandals and the constant attacks by his political nemesis Mahathir Mohamad.

Like it or not, the 98-year-old Mahathir is better liked by the Malays than Anwar and yet they are not going to vote for him or his sons. They simply prefer his politics to Anwar's - to them, Mahathir is not a racist as he is to the non-Malays - while flip-flop Anwar is seen as a politician with no core by both Malays and non-Malays.

"There is no headway for Anwar when it comes to the Malay vote. For the non-Malays, they know Anwar needs them and they are watching to see if he remembers this. Once he shows he couldn't care less about the non-Malays and loves only the PM's post, they will also dump him," the pundit said.

"It's hard to predict the future for Malaysia. Chances are it will change into something beyond our imagination." Written by Stan Lee, Politics Now!
